Well I must start this post by saying this….
“Hello I’m Addy and I’m a Karateholic…..”
Yes one of the things that I do for a Hobbie/Life is Karate. I do Goju Kai Karate – Do and I’m really, proud of it.
So now to the point..
As I write this (05/08/2007) from today I have 131 days to “get my finger out” and start getting some power and extra fitness before the end of year grading. So far for the last seven months I have been focusing more on getting the pattern’s right and the feel for some of the techniques that we have been shown and expected to know. I know where my strengths lie and I know where I have to work to improve my weaknesses. But for the record I am a little scared because it is a big turning point for me.
So what am I going to do about it?
Well for starters, Im going to pick the pace up a little each week, then in the last six weeks before the set date, im going to push myself like I haven’t before. I’m thinking getting my self back into lifting weights again and also running for some cardio. The main thing is that I stay motivated, even if I ends up I only do half what I say, If I do a little each day, it will all help in the end.
But in the mean time I’ll keep you poasted.
